ALL BALLS Steering Bearing Kit with Seal

ALL BALLS offers this steering bearing kit. The steering stem, which joins the fork to the frame, turns on two bearings: one at the top, one at the bottom.

What is this bearing made of?

Races and balls in hardened chrome steel, 100Cr6 type, very hard and fatigue-resistant, protected by rubber seals.

• Double seal (2RS): a seal on each side, very well sealed against water and mud, essential off-road.
• Limit: slightly more drag than a metal-shielded bearing (ZZ), which spins more freely but seals far less well.
• Fitting: press or drift it in on the outer race, never hammer on the seal; keep the pressure washer away from the hubs.
