VERTEX ofrece este kit de pistón para POLARIS SCRAMBLER 400, SPORT 400, SPORTSMAN 400, XPLORER 400, XPLORER 400 L 4X4 de 1994 a 2013. El pistón se desliza en el cilindro y recibe la fuerza de la explosión de la mezcla aire-gasolina, que transmite a la biela y al cigüeñal.

¿Por qué elegir un pistón fundido?

El pistón fundido se obtiene vertiendo aluminio líquido en un molde: es la solución de origen de la mayoría de los fabricantes, sobre todo en los 2 tiempos.

• Aleación rica en silicio: se dilata poco, se monta con una holgura ajustada y es silencioso en frío.
• Buena resistencia al desgaste de la falda y de las ranuras de los segmentos.
• Precio más bajo que un forjado, con calidad de origen en uso normal.
• Límite: tolera peor el sobrecalentamiento y los motores muy preparados.

¿Por qué elegir VERTEX?

Vertex fabrica sus pistones en Italia desde 1953 y suministra los pistones de origen de KTM desde 1996: falda recubierta de bisulfuro de molibdeno y segmentos japoneses. Sus pistones 4 tiempos son forjados en aleación 2618.

¿Cuándo sustituir el pistón de su POLARIS SPORTSMAN 400?

Arranque más difícil, pérdida de potencia, humo azul, consumo de aceite o golpeteo en frío: son los signos de una parte alta cansada.
