The piston moves up and down in the cylinder to turn combustion into motion: this kit replaces it along with its rings, pin and clips.
Available in several sizes.
METEOR offers this piston kit for GAS GAS EC 125, MC 125, MX 125 2013-2015. The piston slides in the cylinder and takes the force of the air-fuel combustion, passing it to the connecting rod and crankshaft.
Why replace the piston?
The benefits:
- Restore compression, power and easy starting.
- A piston of the right size keeps the intended clearance in the cylinder: less noise and less oil consumption.
- A new piston with rings, pin and clips: nothing to reuse from the old one.
Why choose METEOR?
Meteor is an Italian piston manufacturer; its Racing range covers 2- and 4-stroke motocross and enduro engines, with pistons offered in several sizes to match the actual cylinder bore.
When should you replace the piston on your GAS GAS EC 125?
Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.
No manufacturer hour figure for this model. Cross-Mania guideline: compression check every 20 h in hard use and every 40 h for leisure.
