- Gasket crushed, brittle or burnt on removal.

Fitting tips
- Clean the gasket seat on both the engine side and the exhaust side.
- Offer up the exhaust without forcing it, fit all the fasteners, then tighten progressively.
- Warm the engine up, let it cool down and check the tightness again.
