WISECO ofrece este kit de pistón para POLARIS SPORTSMAN 850, SPORTSMAN 850 EPS, SPORTSMAN 850 HIGH LIFTER EDITION, SPORTSMAN 850 XP, SPORTSMAN 850 XPS 4X4 de 2009 a 2020. El pistón se desliza en el cilindro y recibe la fuerza de la explosión de la mezcla aire-gasolina, que transmite a la biela y al cigüeñal.

¿Por qué elegir un pistón forjado?

En lugar de moldearse sin más, el pistón forjado se prensa en caliente a muy alta presión y después se mecaniza: su metal es más denso y sin burbujas de aire.

• Más resistente en caliente: aguanta mejor las altas revoluciones, el sobrecalentamiento y el picado.
• Más ligero a igual resistencia: menos esfuerzo sobre la biela y los rodamientos.
• A tener en cuenta: según la aleación, se dilata algo más y se monta con más holgura; un ligero ruido en frío es normal.
• ¿Por qué es más caro? El utillaje de forja, el mecanizado completo y los tratamientos de superficie cuestan más que un simple moldeo.

¿Por qué elegir WISECO?

Wiseco forja sus pistones en Mentor (Ohio, EE. UU.) desde 1941 y controla toda la fabricación, de la barra de aluminio al recubrimiento de falda ArmorGlide que reduce el rozamiento. Sus pistones se desarrollan con el Team Honda HRC en Supercross (en 450 desde 2018).

¿Cuándo sustituir el pistón de su POLARIS SPORTSMAN 850 EPS?

Arranque más difícil, pérdida de potencia, humo azul, consumo de aceite o golpeteo en frío: son los signos de una parte alta cansada.

El fabricante no da cifra en horas para este modelo. Referencia Cross-Mania: control de compresión cada 50 h en uso intensivo y cada 100 h en ocio.
