PIVOT WORKS offers this swingarm bearing kit for YAMAHA WR 250, WRF 400, YZ 125, YZ 250, YZF 400 1998. The swingarm pivots on needle bearings protected by seals. Water and mud make them seize: the suspension gets stiff and play appears.

What is this bearing made of?

Races and balls in hardened chrome steel, 100Cr6 type, very hard and fatigue-resistant, protected by rubber seals.

• Double seal (2RS): a seal on each side, very well sealed against water and mud, essential off-road.
• Limit: slightly more drag than a metal-shielded bearing (ZZ), which spins more freely but seals far less well.
• Fitting: press or drift it in on the outer race, never hammer on the seal; keep the pressure washer away from the hubs.
