The valve, its core and its cap: the small parts you inflate the tyre through, which keep the air inside.
REMA TIP TOP offers this valve. The valve is the small tube you inflate the tyre through. Inside it, the core is a screw-in check valve that lets air in and stops it getting out; the cap keeps mud off the core and adds to the seal.
The benefits:
REMA TIP TOP is a German company based in Poing, near Munich, which has made patches and tyre repair products since 1937. Its range covers the whole tyre repair process, from patches and plugs to mounting paste, valves and puncture-repair sprays.
A split, bent or leaking valve, a hissing core, a lost cap: replace them; on a tubeless rim, ideally change the rubber valve at every tyre change.
Cross-Mania tip: Check for leaks after fitting.
Choose the same size as the original tyre: it is moulded on the sidewall of your current tyre and given in the bike's manual.
