Rings are the bands fitted on the piston that seal against the cylinder: they hold compression and limit oil getting past.

VERTEX offers this piston ring set for TM RACING EN 300, MX 300, KTM EXC 300, SX 300, XC 300, HUSQVARNA TE 300, TX 300 and BETA RR 300, RX 300 2004-2025. Rings are thin steel bands sitting in the piston grooves. They press against the cylinder wall to hold compression and scrape oil.

Why replace the rings?

Recommended hours for a top-end rebuild (manufacturer recommendation for the KTM EXC / XC-W, Husqvarna TE 250/300 2017-2023):

Racing: every 40 h.
Leisure: every 80 h.
Beta RR 250 / 300 two-stroke: normal use: every 60 h.
