Why choose HELICOIL?

The HELICOIL thread insert principle was patented in the USA in 1938; Böllhoff has made it under licence in Germany since the 1950s and has owned the trademark worldwide since 2021. The A2 stainless steel (1.4301) insert restores a true-to-gauge thread that resists wear and corrosion in soft metals such as the aluminium or magnesium of engine cases.

When should you replace this part?

A rusty bolt or one with a damaged head, a locknut that spins on by hand all the way, a crushed sealing washer, a split pin already bent: replace the part, it no longer does its job.
