The ODI H929CFB handlebar. Apart from replacing a broken one, changing handlebars lets you adapt the bike to your height and riding style: higher for riding standing up, lower and wider to load the front end.
Always replace a bent handlebar: straightened aluminium is weakened and can break. To choose the bend, compare height, width and sweep with your current handlebar.
ODI has been designing grips for around forty years and still makes them in its own factory in Riverside, California. It's the company that created the Lock-On system: the grip is moulded onto a plastic tube and locked onto the handlebar by an aluminium clamp tightened with a 3 mm screw, with no glue.
Handlebar with or without a crossbar?
A handlebar without a crossbar (28.6 mm at the clamps) flexes more and filters impacts better. The 22 mm handlebar with a crossbar is more traditional and fits the stock clamps of many bikes.
How do I choose the bend?
Compare it with your current handlebar: a higher bend favours riding standing up, while a lower, wider bend helps you load the front end in corners.
