DAYCO offers this drive belt for POLARIS SPORTSMAN 550 X2, SPORTSMAN 550 XPS TRG 4X4, SPORTSMAN 850 EPS, SPORTSMAN 850 XP, SPORTSMAN 850 XPS 4X4 2009-2014. A variator (CVT) transmission has no gears to shift: the belt runs between two pulleys whose halves move closer together or further apart depending on engine speed and load.

Why replace the belt in time?

The benefits:

• Get back the acceleration and top speed lost to a worn, slipping belt.
• Avoid a breakdown mid-ride: a belt that snaps leaves the quad stranded, often far from anywhere.
• A reinforced belt copes better with loaded starts, climbs, mud and towing.

When should you replace this part?

Width below the minimum, smooth shiny (glazed) sides, cracks, missing cogs or fraying: replace the belt before it snaps mid-ride.
