RACETECH Plastic Kit (5 pieces) - Orange KTM for KTM EXC, EXCF, SX 2000-2002

The RACETECH R-KITKTM-AR0-501 plastic kit is designed for KTM EXC 125, EXC 200, EXC 250, EXC 400, EXC 440, EXC 450, EXC 500, EXC 525, EXC 530, EXCF 250, EXCF 350, SX 400 from 2000 to 2002. A plastic kit replaces in one go the bodywork parts that get damaged most: fenders, front number plate, radiator shrouds and side panels, depending on how many pieces the kit contains. It is the simplest way to bring a motocross or enduro bike worn down by crashes and hours of riding back to a like-new look.

Specifications

• Brand: RACETECH
• Manufacturer part number: R-KITKTM-AR0-501
• EAN code: 8055773955912
• Number of pieces: 5

When to replace it?

• Plastics cracked, broken or warped after a crash.
• Faded colours, whitened plastics or heavy scratching.
• Mounting holes enlarged or torn out: the parts rattle and no longer hold.
• You want a different colour, or want to get the bike ready before selling it.

Check the number of pieces and the list of items supplied: depending on the kit, the air box cover, fork guards or headlight mask are included or not. The bike's model year matters: plastics often change shape from one year to the next.

Fitting tips

1. Remove the seat and the fuel tank if necessary, then the old plastics, keeping all the hardware: it goes back on the new kit.
2. Clean the frame, the air box and the mounts before test-fitting the new parts.
3. Tighten without forcing: over-tightening cracks the plastic around the bolts. Replace damaged bolts with new plastics hardware.
4. If you are fitting a graphics kit, do it on clean, degreased plastics at room temperature.

Why RACETECH?

The brand has supplied the plastics for Mitch Payton's Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, one of the most successful teams in AMA Supercross, as well as for the Beta Offroad Factory team. Its Worx chain guide is a one-piece design fitted with a removable, self-lubricating TPU internal wear pad.

Frequently asked questions

Can the original decals be stuck back on?
They can rarely be reused once peeled off. The shapes of replica plastics follow the originals, so you can fit a graphics kit made for your bike.

Do I need new bolts?
The original hardware can be refitted if it is in good condition. New hardware saves you from forcing on damaged heads.
