ATHENA offers this cylinder kit for KTM EXCF 250, SXF 250, HUSQVARNA FC 250, FE 250 and GAS GAS ECF 250, MCF 250 2013-2025. The cylinder kit groups a cylinder and the parts to fit it (piston, rings, gaskets depending on the kit: see contents). “Big bore” kits increase the bore and therefore the displacement: the engine gains torque and power.

Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.

Recommended hours for a top-end rebuild (manufacturer recommendation for the KTM SX-F, Husqvarna FC 2016-2022):

• Racing: every 50 h.
• Leisure: no KTM figure; Cross-Mania guideline: compression check at around 100 h.
• KTM EXC-F, Husqvarna FE 2017-2023: racing: every 70 h.
