The hose that carries brake fluid from the lever or pedal to the caliper, in a stainless braided version that does not swell.
SPEEDBRAKES offers this braided brake hose. When you pull the lever or press the pedal, brake fluid is pushed through the hose to the caliper, which squeezes the pads onto the disc.
The benefits:
SpeedBrakes has made braided brake hoses and their fittings, banjo bolts included, at its factory in Pratteln near Basel, Switzerland, since 1995; it also designs and makes Tecnium’s aviation-style brake hoses.
A spongy lever, or a cracked, bulging or weeping hose: the hose must be replaced.
Cross-Mania tip: Use new banjo washers, refill with fresh fluid (the DOT grade shown on the reservoir) and bleed carefully.
Universal part: check the dimensions given before ordering.
