Mikuni, Keihin and Dell'Orto main, pilot and air jets

Jets are small drilled parts that meter the fuel: the pilot jet for small throttle openings, the main jet for full throttle. On a fuel jet, the higher the stamped number, the richer the mixture.

Changing jets adapts the carburation to altitude, temperature or tuning (exhaust, air filter). Boxes of 10 jets let you try several sizes.
