The jet is the small drilled part that meters fuel or air in your carburettor: changing its size is how you adjust the carburation.
Available in several sizes.
DELL ORTO offers this carburettor jet. A carburettor mixes the air drawn in by the engine with the right amount of fuel, and it is the jets that meter that fuel.
Why change the jet?
The benefits:
- Match the carburation to a modified exhaust, air filter or airbox.
- Correct the mixture when you ride at altitude or when the temperature changes a lot: thinner air, smaller jet.
- Replace a blocked or damaged jet to get back easy starting and clean pick-up.
Why choose DELL ORTO?
Dellorto started out in Italy in 1933 making motorcycle carburettors and still produces in Cabiate, Lombardy; the brand has been in MotoGP since 2012 and was the exclusive ECU supplier to the Moto3 class until 2025.
When should you replace this part?
A jet blocked by fuel deposits or dirt, or with its orifice enlarged by cleaning it with wire: the engine is hard to start, idles unevenly or stutters at full throttle.
Specifications and fitting tips
Available in several sizes.
Cross-Mania tip: Start from the stock size, change one step at a time and check the spark plug colour and how the engine responds after each test; screw the jet in without forcing it, as its thread is fine.
