A torque wrench tightens a bolt to the torque specified by the manufacturer, expressed in newton-metres (Nm). It prevents snapping an over-tightened bolt or leaving a nut to work loose. You will also find angle gauges for angle-tightening steps.
Torque values are in your motorcycle’s workshop manual. Choose a wrench whose range covers your values: small engine bolts need a low range, wheel axles a higher one. Use it only to tighten, never to loosen.
