A road-and-trail tyre for adventure bikes, with blocks that grip on dirt and gravel while staying stable on the road.
CONTINENTAL offers this adventure tyre. A dual-purpose adventure tyre bridges road and trail: spaced blocks to bite into dirt and stones, with a compound and carcass designed for the speed and weight of a big adventure bike.
The benefits:
Continental is a German group founded in Hanover in 1871 that makes tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Its TKC 80 dual-sport tyre, launched in 1985 for the first travel enduros, has been developed ever since without changing its tread pattern.
Replace the tyre when the wear indicators are reached or before your country's legal minimum tread depth, and as soon as it shows a cut, a bulge or torn-off blocks; a tyre also hardens with age, even with little use.
Cross-Mania tip: Stick to the size, load index and speed rating specified for your bike, fit an inner tube with a TT tyre or on a non-tubeless rim, and ride gently for the first few kilometres while the new rubber beds in.
Universal part: check the dimensions given before ordering.
