INNTECK Cooler Water Pump Kit for KTM EXCF, FREERIDE, SXF 250, 350 and HUSQVARNA FC, FE 250, 350 2001-2017

The INNTECK Cooler 16-2097 water pump kit is designed for KTM EXCF 250, EXCF 350, FREERIDE 350, SXF 250, SXF 350 and HUSQVARNA FC 250, FC 350, FE 250, FE 350 from 2001 to 2017. The water pump circulates the coolant between the engine and the radiators. A performance water pump kit replaces stock parts to increase coolant flow: the engine gets rid of its heat better when it's working hard.

When do you need it?

• Engine running hot or boiling the coolant in mud, sand or slow enduro.
• Tuned engine, more powerful than stock.
• Water pump overhaul, with tired stock parts.

The kit is specific to each engine: check the bike and years. The exact contents are given in the specifications; have new gaskets ready if they aren't included.

Fitting tips

1. With the engine cold, drain the coolant.
2. Remove the pump cover and, if the kit includes an impeller, the stock impeller, following the manual.
3. Check the pump shaft and its seals: at the slightest play or weeping, fit a water pump rebuild kit.
4. Fit the kit parts with new gaskets and tighten the cover bolts in a crisscross pattern, to the torque in the manual.
5. Refill with coolant, bleed the air and check for leaks.

Frequently asked questions

Does the kit lower the temperature?
It increases coolant circulation; the gain depends on the bike, the terrain and the condition of the radiators. Clean radiators and fresh coolant are still essential.

Are the gaskets included?
It depends on the kit: check the specifications and, if needed, add a water pump rebuild kit.
