On KAWASAKI KDX 250, KX 250 from 1988 to 1994, the PROX 57.4318 water pump rebuild kit fits in place of the original part. A tired water pump bearing or oil seal lets coolant through. This kit replaces the pump's sealing and bearing parts.

When to replace it?
- Drip of coolant or oil at the weep hole under the pump.
- Milky engine oil (mixed with coolant).
- Coolant level dropping with no visible leak, engine running hot.
During an engine rebuild, and as soon as a leak appears at the weep hole.
Fitting tips
- Drain the cooling system, and the oil if necessary.
- Drive out the bearing and oil seals without damaging the housing, then fit the new parts perfectly square.
- Lightly grease the oil seal lips before sliding the shaft through.
- Fill with fresh coolant, bleed the system and refill with oil if you drained it.
