PROX Water Pump Rebuild Kit for KAWASAKI KX 125 1988-1991

The PROX 57.4218 water pump rebuild kit is designed for KAWASAKI KX 125 from 1988 to 1991. The water pump circulates the coolant. When its oil seal or bearing wears, coolant gets into the oil or leaks out of the weep hole: the engine overheats and the oil breaks down.

When to replace it?

• Drip of coolant or oil at the weep hole under the pump.
• Milky engine oil (mixed with coolant).
• Coolant level dropping with no visible leak, engine running hot.

During an engine rebuild, and as soon as a leak appears at the weep hole.

Fitting tips

1. Drain the cooling system, and the oil if necessary.
2. Drive out the bearing and oil seals without damaging the housing, then fit the new parts perfectly square.
3. Lightly grease the oil seal lips before sliding the shaft through.
4. Fill with fresh coolant, bleed the system and refill with oil if you drained it.
