ATHENA Valve Cover Gasket for YAMAHA TT 350 1985-1995

The ATHENA S410485015026 valve cover gasket is designed for YAMAHA TT 350 from 1985 to 1995. On a four-stroke, the valve cover closes off the top of the engine, above the camshafts. When to replace it?

• Oil seeping around the valve cover or into the spark plug tube.
• Gasket hardened, flattened or split on removal.

During a valve clearance check or work on the valve train, as soon as the gasket is hardened, flattened or damaged.

Fitting tips

1. Clean the groove in the cover and the cylinder head face.
2. Seat the gasket properly in its groove; sealant goes only where the manual calls for it (often the camshaft half-moons).
3. Tighten the screws in a criss-cross pattern to the manufacturer's torque, without crushing the gasket.
4. While it's apart, adjust the valve clearance with valve shims if needed and replace the spark plug.
