The gasket between cylinder and head: it holds compression and keeps water, oil and gases apart.

ATHENA offers this cylinder head gasket for HUSQVARNA, KTM and GAS GAS 2016-2027. The head gasket takes the pressure and heat of every combustion. It is crushed when the head is torqued down and must be replaced every time the head comes off.

Why replace this gasket every time it is removed?

The benefits:

A new gasket guarantees a perfectly sealed joint.
Material designed to withstand heat, oil and coolant.
An inexpensive part that saves doing the job twice.

Why choose ATHENA?

Athena, founded in 1973 by Giovanni Mancassola near Vicenza and based in Alonte (Italy), designs gaskets, pistons and cylinder kits; it supplies original equipment to manufacturers such as KTM, Ducati, Fantic and Triumph.

When should you replace the head gasket on your HUSQVARNA FC 450?

Loss of compression, a dropping coolant level, bubbles in the radiator or traces between cylinder and head: the gasket needs changing. It is also replaced every time the head comes off.

No manufacturer figure in hours for this model. Cross-Mania guideline: compression check every 30 h of hard use and every 60 h of leisure riding.
