      VHM offers this cylinder head insert for KTM EXC 300, SX 300, HUSQVARNA TC 300, TE 300 and HUSABERG TE 300 2008-2016. On a two-piece head, the insert (the "dome") forms the combustion chamber. Its volume and shape set the compression and the character of the engine.

      Why change the insert?

      The benefits:

      • Match the compression to your riding and your fuel without replacing the whole head.
      • A part machined from solid, to precise dimensions.
      • Replace an insert marked or damaged by detonation.

      When should you change the insert?

      Signs of detonation, leaking O-rings or the wish to change the compression: the insert can be swapped in minutes, with new O-rings.

      Specifications and fitting tips

      • Manufacturer part numbers: AE32160-C (Version C (27.50 cc)), AE32160-E (Version E (28.50 cc))

      Available in several combustion-chamber volumes: a smaller volume raises compression (more punch, quality fuel essential), a larger one lowers it (smoother engine).

      Cross-Mania tip: Fit new O-rings, tighten in a cross pattern to the specified torque and, with a higher-compression insert, use high-octane fuel.
