PROVAC offers this tyre mounting paste. A thin coat of paste lets the tyre bead, very stiff on an off-road tyre, slide against the rim: it gets over the flange more easily, then centres properly on the rim when inflated.
Why use mounting paste?

- Less force on the tyre levers, so less risk of pinching the tube or marking the rim.
- A bead that seats properly when inflated, for a wheel that runs true.
