The strip fitted in the well of the rim that protects the inner tube from the spoke nipples.
CONTINENTAL offers this rim strip. The rim strip covers the spoke nipples and the edges of the holes inside the rim, where the inner tube sits.
Why replace the rim strip?
The benefits:
- An inner tube protected from the spoke nipples and the edges of the rim holes.
- An inexpensive part to change at the same time as the tyre or tube.
- Depending on the model, with or without a valve hole, in the width of your rim.
Why choose CONTINENTAL?
Continental is a German group founded in Hanover in 1871 that makes tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Its TKC 80 dual-sport tyre, launched in 1985 for the first travel enduros, has been developed ever since without changing its tread pattern.
When should you replace this part?
A rim strip that is cut, hardened, out of place or shows a spoke nipple: replace it, ideally at every tube change.
