A foam ring that replaces the inner tube: the tyre keeps its shape even when punctured.
MEFO offers this mousse insert. The mousse fits inside the tyre in place of the inner tube. It is made of a special foam full of small sealed gas cells: pierced by a thorn or a stone, it does not go flat.
Why fit a mousse?
The benefits:
- No more punctures or pinch flats: you finish your ride or race.
- No tyre pressure to check before riding.
- Well suited to enduro, rally and rocky ground.
When should you replace the mousse?
A mousse shrinks with hours and heat: replace it when the tyre feels soft, as if underinflated, or the rim hits stones.
