MAXXIS offers this ATV tyre. An ATV runs on large tubeless tyres, inflated to very low pressure to follow the ground and absorb impacts.
The benefits:
MAXXIS is a brand of Cheng Shin Rubber, the Taiwanese tyre maker founded in 1967, which started out with bicycle tyres. Its range runs from ATV (Razr, Bighorn) to mountain bike (High Roller, Aggressor).
Rounded or torn knobs, a cut or cracked sidewall, a tyre that loses air: it needs replacing. Heavier wear on one edge of the front tyres often means the toe alignment needs adjusting. In racing, tyres are changed as soon as the knobs lose their edges; for leisure and utility use, when grip drops noticeably or the rubber cracks with age.
Cross-Mania tip: Fit the same tyre on both sides of an axle, check when inflating that the beads are properly seated on the rim and set the pressure cold with a low-pressure gauge.
Choose the same size as the original tyre: it is moulded on the sidewall of your current tyre and given in the bike's manual.
