MOTION PRO Throttle Tube for HONDA CRF 250, CRF 450 2002-2026

The MOTION PRO 01-0097 throttle tube is designed for HONDA CRF 250, CRF 450 from 2002 to 2026. The throttle tube turns on the handlebar and winds in the throttle cable. A tube that's cracked or distorted after a crash makes the throttle heavy or stops it from returning: it's a safety part.

Specifications

• Brand: MOTION PRO
• Manufacturer part number: 01-0097
• Engine: 4-stroke

When to replace it?

• Tube cracked, distorted or scored.
• Twistgrip that rubs or returns poorly.

Replace it after a crash that has marked it, and as soon as the twistgrip no longer snaps back cleanly.

Fitting tips

1. Remove the grip and unhook the cables.
2. Clean the handlebar, slide on the new tube and reconnect the cables.
3. Glue or clamp on a new grip, leaving a small gap at the end of the handlebar.
4. Check the throttle return with the bars at full lock on both sides.

Why MOTION PRO?

For its T3 Slidelight cables, Motion Pro measured in-house that a conventional cable housing can wear through to metal-on-metal contact in fewer than 1,200 cycles, whereas its own inner liner lasts 30,000 cycles with minimal wear. With anodised billet aluminium end fittings and a built-in lubricator, the control stays light and smooth over time.
