The part that holds the number plate at the back of the bike, often with room for the tail light, indicators and plate light.
R&G RACING offers this licence plate holder. The plate holder replaces the long stock plastic rear section, often bulky and fragile off-road, with a shorter, stiffer part that holds the plate close to the wheel.
Why fit a number plate holder?
The benefits:
- A shorter, lighter rear end that is less likely to break in a fall.
- A stiffer mounting: the plate vibrates less than at the end of a long fender.
- Mounting points for the tail light, indicators and plate light, depending on the model.
Why choose R&G RACING?
R&G was founded in 1999 in England by Richard Taylor, whose firm made precision parts for aerospace and Formula One. Its protectors are designed and prototyped in Hampshire, and the brand has partnered British Superbike since 2015 and MotoAmerica since 2019.
When should you replace this part?
Replace the holder when it is cracked or bent, or the plate moves even with the bolts tight.
