      PIVOT WORKS offers this swingarm bearing kit for HM CREF 250, CREF 450, CRM F 450 R SUPERMOTO, CRMF 450 and HONDA CRF 250, CRF 450 2002-2013. The swingarm pivots on needle bearings protected by seals. Water and mud make them seize: the suspension gets stiff and play appears.

      What is this bearing made of?

      Races and balls in hardened chrome steel, 100Cr6 type, very hard and fatigue-resistant, protected by rubber seals.

      • Double seal (2RS): a seal on each side, very well sealed against water and mud, essential off-road.
      • Limit: slightly more drag than a metal-shielded bearing (ZZ), which spins more freely but seals far less well.
      • Fitting: press or drift it in on the outer race, never hammer on the seal; keep the pressure washer away from the hubs.

      When should you replace this part?

      Side play when you rock the swingarm with the rear wheel removed, or a notchy movement: the bearings need changing.

      Cross-Mania tip: Press out the old bearings, grease the new ones and check the swingarm pivot: if it is marked, replace it too.
