INNTECK Swingarm Bearing Kit for SUZUKI RMZ 250 and KAWASAKI KXF 250 2004-2006

On KAWASAKI KXF 250 and SUZUKI RMZ 250 from 2004 to 2006, the INNTECK WY-28-1115 swingarm bearing kit fits in place of the original part. The swingarm pivots on its shaft on every movement of the rear suspension. Its bearings, often needle bearings, wear from water and mud: a swingarm pivot that binds or has play makes the rear end vague and wears out the drivetrain.

When to replace it?

• Side play at the rear when you shake the wheel from left to right.
• Pivot that binds when you move the swingarm up and down with the shock removed.
• Rusty needles or marked sleeves when opened.

Grease the pivot regularly and replace the bearings as soon as they have play or bind. While you are at it, check the linkage.

Fitting tips

1. Support the bike, then remove the rear wheel, the chain and the swingarm pivot shaft.
2. Drive out the old bearings and sleeves and clean the bores.
3. Press in the new ones, straight, with the seals and sleeves packed with waterproof grease.
4. Refit the shaft and tighten to the manual's torque, then check that the swingarm pivots freely, with no play.
