PIVOT WORKS Steering Stem Bearing Kit for HONDA TRX 90 2006-2019

On HONDA TRX 90 from 2006 to 2019, the PIVOT WORKS PWSSKH07400 steering stem bearing kit fits in place of the original part. The steering bearings let the fork pivot in the frame's head tube. Worn or notched, they make the steering stiff, notchy or loose: the bike holds its line less well. This kit contains the steering stem bearings and seals.

When to replace it?

• Steering that stays notchy in a straight line.
• Play when braking with the front or rocking the fork, wheel off the ground.
• Stiff steering or noises when turning.

Check the steering at every service. As a Cross-Mania guideline: strip and grease once or twice a season for racing, once a year for leisure riding, and replace as soon as the steering becomes notchy.

Fitting tips

1. Remove the races from the frame and the bearing from the lower triple clamp without damaging the seats.
2. Fit the new races squarely, then the lower bearing on the triple clamp.
3. Pack the bearings with grease and fit the seals.
4. Set the preload: the bars must fall to each side on their own, without play or tight spots.
