The small toothed sprocket on the gearbox output shaft: it is what drives the chain.

Available in several colours.

RFX offers this front sprocket for YAMAHA WRF 450, YFZ 450, YZ 250, YZ 250 X, YZF 450, KAWASAKI KLX 300, KLX 450, KX 250, KX 450, KXF 450, GAS GAS ECF 450 and RIEJU MARATHON 450 1988-2027. The front sprocket sits on the gearbox output shaft and passes the engine’s power to the chain, which turns the rear sprocket and the rear wheel.

Why replace the front sprocket?

The benefits:

An inexpensive part that protects a new chain and rear sprocket.
Made of steel to withstand much heavier wear than the rear sprocket.
Changing the number of teeth is the simplest, cheapest way to alter the gearing.

When should you replace the front sprocket?

Dished or hooked teeth: replace it straight away, otherwise it will ruin a new chain within hours.
