      AFAM offers this front sprocket for YAMAHA CHAPPY 50, DT 50, DT 50 MX, TY 50, TY 50 M and SUZUKI LTA 50, LTZ 50, RM 50, TS 50 ERK, TS 50 ERKD 1978-2006. The front sprocket sits on the gearbox output shaft and passes the engine’s power to the chain, which turns the rear sprocket and the rear wheel.

      Why replace the front sprocket?

      The benefits:

      • An inexpensive part that protects a new chain and rear sprocket.
      • Made of steel to withstand much heavier wear than the rear sprocket.
      • Changing the number of teeth is the simplest, cheapest way to alter the gearing.

      When should you replace the front sprocket?

      Dished or hooked teeth: replace it straight away, otherwise it will ruin a new chain within hours.
