A tool for removing a press-fitted part, such as an ignition flywheel or a bearing, without hammering it.

BETA offers this puller. Some parts of the bike are fitted very tightly: the ignition flywheel on the end of the crankshaft, the bearings in the crankcases or hubs.

      Why use a puller?

      The benefits:

      • The force is applied in line with the part: it comes out straight, without tilting or seizing.
      • Flywheel puller with the exact thread of the rotor: it pulls on the full length of the thread instead of stripping the first turns.
      • Depending on the model, reversible jaws or expanding collets: one tool to pull a part from the outside or a bearing from the inside.

      Why choose BETA?

BETA (Beta Utensili) is an Italian maker of professional tools founded in 1923, based in Sovico, near Milan, since 1939 and still run by the Ciceri family. The group makes its tools in its own factories in northern and central Italy.

When should you replace this tool?

A crushed or stripped thread, a bent centre bolt or one with a mushroomed tip, spread or cracked jaws: replace the puller or the relevant spare part, it may give way under load.

Cross-Mania tip: For a flywheel puller, check the diameter, pitch and direction of the thread (internal or external) given for your engine, screw it fully home by hand and protect the end of the crankshaft with a cap before tightening the centre bolt.

      Compatibility
