METEOR High Compression Piston Kit Racing for YAMAHA YZF 450 2014-2017

METEOR offers this piston kit for YAMAHA YZF 450 2014-2017. The piston slides in the cylinder and takes the force of the air-fuel combustion, passing it to the connecting rod and crankshaft.

Why replace the piston?

The benefits:

• Restore compression, power and easy starting.
• A piston of the right size keeps the intended clearance in the cylinder: less noise and less oil consumption.
• A new piston with rings, pin and clips: nothing to reuse from the old one.

Why choose METEOR?

Meteor is an Italian piston manufacturer; its Racing range covers 2- and 4-stroke motocross and enduro engines, with pistons offered in several sizes to match the actual cylinder bore.

When should you replace the piston on your YAMAHA YZF 450?

Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.

No manufacturer hour figure for this model. Cross-Mania guideline: compression check every 30 h in hard use and every 60 h for leisure.
