WISECO Gudgeon Pin 14 x 38.40 mm for YAMAHA YZ 85, KTM SX 85, HUSQVARNA TC 85 and GAS GAS MC 85 2002-2027

WISECO offers this piston pin for YAMAHA YZ 85, KTM SX 85, HUSQVARNA TC 85 and GAS GAS MC 85 2002-2027. The pin passes through the piston and the small end; it is held by two clips. A marked or worn pin creates play and noise.

Why replace it?

The benefits:

• Remove play or noise at the piston.
• A precise replacement part without buying a whole piston.

Why choose WISECO?

Wiseco has forged its pistons in Mentor (Ohio, USA) since 1941 and controls the whole process, from aluminium bar to the friction-reducing ArmorGlide skirt coating. Its pistons are developed with Team Honda HRC in Supercross (450 class since 2018).

When should you replace this part?

Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.

Recommended hours for a top-end rebuild (manufacturer recommendation for the KTM SX 85, Husqvarna TC 85 2018-2023):

• Racing: every 20 h.
• Leisure: no KTM figure; Cross-Mania guideline: compression check at around 40 h.
• Riding in sand: every 10 h.
• KTM SX 85, Husqvarna TC 85, GASGAS MC 85 since 2024: racing: every 45 h.

Specifications and fitting tips

• Manufacturer part number: S517

Cross-Mania tip: Never reuse old circlips: they distort when removed. Position the circlip gap away from the notch in the piston.
