The RACETECH R-PRTYZFRSNR1 set of frame guards is designed for YAMAHA WRF 250, WRF 450, YZF 250, YZF 450 and FANTIC XEF 250, XEF 450, XXF 250, XXF 450 from 2019 to 2026. Frame guards fit on the frame rails, where your boots rub. They stop the paint or aluminium wearing through and getting scratched, and give your boots grip to squeeze the bike between your legs.

When do you need it?

• Frame scratched or paint worn where your boots rub.
• Boots sliding on the frame when you grip the bike.
• Old guards peeling off, torn or worn smooth.

Check the model and years: the guards follow the shape of the frame. Fit them on a clean frame, ideally before wear gets through the paint or into the aluminium.

Fitting tips

1. Clean and degrease the frame area thoroughly, then let it dry.
2. Dry-fit each guard to find its exact position, on the right side and the left side.
3. Fit the guards as shown in the manufacturer's instructions, then check that they don't get in the way of the footpegs or the brake pedal.
