RACETECH Front Fender for YAMAHA WR, WRF, YZ, YZF 125, 250, 400, 426, 450 2000-2005

The RACETECH front fender is designed for YAMAHA WR 125, WR 250, WRF 250, WRF 400, WRF 426, WRF 450, YZ 125, YZ 250, YZF 250, YZF 400, YZF 426, YZF 450 from 2000 to 2005. Fixed to the lower triple clamp, the front fender shields the rider, the radiator and the engine from front wheel spray. When it is cracked or faded, it can be replaced on its own, without changing the whole plastic kit.

Choosing the colour

All colours have the same shape: pick the one that matches your other plastics or your graphics.

When to replace it?

• Fender cracked, broken or bent after a crash.
• Cracked mounting holes: it rattles or moves on the clamp.
• Faded colour or heavily scratched plastic.

Check the bike's model year: the shape and the spacing of the mounting points often change from one generation to the next. A universal fender fits standard triple clamps but sometimes needs the holes redrilled.

Fitting tips

1. Unscrew the old fender, keeping the bolts and washers.
2. Offer up the new one on the lower triple clamp and check that it touches neither the tire nor the brake hose when the fork is fully compressed.
3. Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern, without crushing the plastic.
4. Check that the speedometer cable or the brake hose runs through its guides.

Frequently asked questions

Is a vented fender any use?
The openings let more air through to the radiator and less mud builds up, which lightens the front end a little in sticky terrain.
