TECNIUM Piston Rings Set Ø47mm for YAMAHA PW 80 1986-2011

TECNIUM offers this piston ring set for YAMAHA PW 80 1986-2011. Rings are thin steel bands sitting in the piston grooves. They press against the cylinder wall to hold compression and scrape oil.

Why replace the rings?

The benefits:

• Regain compression and power.
• Reduce oil consumption and smoke.
• A cheap fix when piston and cylinder are still within spec.

When should you replace the piston rings on your YAMAHA PW 80?

Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.

No manufacturer hour figure for this model. Cross-Mania guideline: compression check every 15 h in hard use and every 30 h for leisure.
