Rings are the bands fitted on the piston that seal against the cylinder: they hold compression and limit oil getting past.

VERTEX offers this piston ring set for KTM EXC 125, SX 125, SXS 125, XCW 125, HUSQVARNA TC 125, TE 125, TX 125, BETA RR 125 and HUSABERG TE 125 2000-2024. Rings are thin steel bands sitting in the piston grooves. They press against the cylinder wall to hold compression and scrape oil.

Why replace the rings?

Leisure: no KTM figure; Cross-Mania guideline: compression check at around 40 h.
Riding in sand: every 10 h.
