DRAPER screwdriver

DRAPER offers this screwdriver. The screwdriver is used to tighten and undo the screws on the bike: hose clamps, carburettor, small covers and accessories.

Why a good screwdriver?

The benefits:

• Blade in treated alloy steel (chrome-vanadium, for example): the tip stays crisp and does not bend.
• Depending on the model, a magnetic tip: the screw stays on the blade and does not drop into the engine.
• Two-material handle that does not slip in an oily hand and lets you push hard without hurting yourself.

Why choose DRAPER?

Draper is a British family business founded in 1919 by Bert Draper in Kingston upon Thames, based since 1963 in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, and run by the family for three generations. Its catalogue lists more than 11,000 hand, power and automotive tools and workshop equipment items.

When should you replace this tool?

A rounded, chipped or bent tip slips and damages screw heads: replace the screwdriver, and likewise one with a cracked handle.

Specifications and fitting tips

• Manufacturer part number: 13436

Cross-Mania tip: Choose a blade that fills the whole recess, push firmly in line before turning and, on Japanese bikes, use a JIS screwdriver: a Phillips tends to cam out of JIS screws and damage them.

Compatibility

Workshop tool: it works on any motorcycle or ATV. Just check the size or dimension stated.
