      PROX offers this piston ring set for KTM EXC 530, SMR 450, SXF 450, YAMAHA WRF 450, YZF 450 and HUSQVARNA TC 510 2006-2018. Rings are thin steel bands sitting in the piston grooves. They press against the cylinder wall to hold compression and scrape oil.

      Why replace the rings?

      The benefits:

      • Regain compression and power.
      • Reduce oil consumption and smoke.
      • A cheap fix when piston and cylinder are still within spec.

      Why choose PROX?

      ProX has its pistons made in Japan and the USA, with Japanese rings (Riken, TP or NPR) and tolerances at least equal to OEM; most of its four-stroke pistons are forged.

      When should you replace the piston rings?

      Harder starting, loss of power, blue smoke, oil consumption or a knock when cold: these are the signs of a tired top end.
