WISECO offers these piston pin circlips. On each side of the piston, a clip stops the pin from sliding out and scoring the cylinder.

Wiseco has forged its pistons in Mentor (Ohio, USA) since 1941 and controls the whole process, from aluminium bar to the friction-reducing ArmorGlide skirt coating. Its pistons are developed with Team Honda HRC in Supercross (450 class since 2018).
When should you replace this part?
The pin and its clips are replaced with every new piston. A pin that is marked, blued or loose in the piston must be replaced straight away.

Cross-Mania tip: Never reuse old circlips: they distort when removed. Position the circlip gap away from the notch in the piston.
