The protective plate fitted under the engine, shielding it from rocks, tree stumps and ledges.
AXP offers this skid plate for TM RACING MX 85 2024-2025. The skid plate bolts to the frame, under the engine. In enduro, the underside of the bike often hits rocks, logs and ledges: without protection, the engine case can crack and leak oil.
Why fit a skid plate?
The benefits:
- The engine case is protected from rocks and stumps.
- The bike slides over logs and ledges instead of getting hung up.
- Depending on the model, it also protects the suspension linkage and the bottom of the frame.
Why choose AXP?
Founded in France in 1999 by Pierre and Jeanine Dugardin, AXP Racing has made PHD (high-density polyethylene) its signature material: light, very tough and free of vibration. It was one of the first brands to offer radiator guards for quads.
When should you replace the skid plate on your TM RACING MX 85?
A skid plate that is cracked, badly gouged or with loose mountings no longer protects: replace it.
