RACETECH Air Box Cover for KTM SX 85 and GAS GAS MC 85 2018-2024

On KTM SX 85 and GAS GAS MC 85 from 2018 to 2024, the RACETECH air box cover fits in place of the original part. The air box cover closes off the side of the air box under the seat: it protects the filter from spray and finishes off the look of the bike. It sits right against the rider's leg, which is why it gets scratched and cracked over time.

Choosing the colour

All colours have the same shape: pick the one that matches your side panels or your graphics.

When to replace it?

• Cover cracked, broken or scratched by boots.
• Mounting points torn out: it rattles or lets dust in.
• Faded colour, or different from the rest of the plastics.

Check the bike's model year and the side (left or right) when it is given. A vented cover lets more air into the air box, but also more dust.

Fitting tips

1. Remove the seat if necessary, then the old cover, keeping the hardware.
2. While you are there, check the condition and the oiling of the air filter.
3. Refit the new cover, checking that it sits flush against the air box.
