AXP skid plate for KTM SXF 450, XCF 450, GAS GAS EXF 450, MCF 450 and HUSQVARNA FC 450 2023-2025

AXP offers this skid plate for KTM SXF 450, XCF 450, GAS GAS EXF 450, MCF 450 and HUSQVARNA FC 450 2023-2025. The skid plate bolts to the frame, under the engine. In enduro, the underside of the bike often hits rocks, logs and ledges: without protection, the engine case can crack and leak oil.

Why fit a skid plate?

The benefits:

• The engine case is protected from rocks and stumps.
• The bike slides over logs and ledges instead of getting hung up.
• Depending on the model, it also protects the suspension linkage and the bottom of the frame.

Why choose AXP?

Founded in France in 1999 by Pierre and Jeanine Dugardin, AXP Racing has made PHD (high-density polyethylene) its signature material: light, very tough and free of vibration. It was one of the first brands to offer radiator guards for quads.

When should you replace the skid plate?

A skid plate that is cracked, badly gouged or with loose mountings no longer protects: replace it.

Specifications and fitting tips

• Manufacturer part number: AX1665

Cross-Mania tip: Check it does not get in the way of the oil drain or the hoses, and check the mounting bolts after the first rides.
