WORKS CONNECTION Aluminium Skid Plate for KAWASAKI KXF 450 2016-2018

The WORKS CONNECTION 10-297 skid plate is designed for KAWASAKI KXF 450 from 2016 to 2018. Mounted under the engine, the skid plate takes the hits instead of the crankcases and the frame. In enduro and on rocky terrain it's essential protection; in motocross it also limits wear on the bottom of the frame.

When do you need it?

Fitting tips

1. Clean the bottom of the engine and frame, and check the condition of the mounting points.
2. Offer up the skid plate and start its fasteners without tightening, checking that it touches neither the gear lever, nor the brake pedal, nor the hoses.
3. Tighten the bolts gradually, then check that nothing rubs with the suspension compressed.
4. Check that everything is still tight after the first few rides: vibration can loosen the fasteners.
