The RACETECH R-PMKX0NR0021 skid plate is designed for KAWASAKI KXF 250, KXF 450 from 2020 to 2023. Mounted under the engine, the skid plate takes the hits instead of the crankcases and the frame. When do you need it?

Fitting tips

1. Clean the bottom of the engine and frame, and check the condition of the mounting points.
2. Offer up the skid plate and start its fasteners without tightening, checking that it touches neither the gear lever, nor the brake pedal, nor the hoses.
3. Tighten the bolts gradually, then check that nothing rubs with the suspension compressed.
4. Check that everything is still tight after the first few rides: vibration can loosen the fasteners.
